FISAF International Objectives in South Africa

  • Raising standards across both commercial studios and community clubs by offering internationally benchmarked coaching and judging courses.
  • Promoting our sport on the world stage through regional qualifiers in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape that feed into global championships.
  • Encouraging development by partnering with provincial federations to roll out youth-and-adult participation programmes in all nine provinces.
  • Advancing international cooperation by sending South African judges and coaches to FISAF conventions in Europe and Asia, and hosting visiting experts here in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
  • Increasing interest and awareness through national roadshows and social-media campaigns that showcase local talent and success stories.
  • Implementing a growth strategy that targets elite performance (our national squad), regular international competition (our calendar of qualifiers and invitationals) and mass participation (school and community outreach).
  • Governing the sport locally under FISAF rules—including strict anti-doping aligned with the World Anti-Doping Code—so every athlete competes on a level playing field.
  • Representing South Africa in international forums, ensuring our voice helps shape the future of aerobics, fitness and hip hop worldwide.
  • Coordinating competition fixtures with clear timelines, venues and live-stream options so athletes, coaches and spectators know exactly where and when to compete.
  • Building partnerships with SASCOC and other national federations to integrate our sport into multi-sport events and school curricula.
  • Driving charitable initiatives to subsidise training for under-resourced communities, and to champion regular exercise as a cornerstone of healthy South African lifestyles—key in the fight against obesity and non-communicable diseases.
