South Africa wrapped up a strong campaign at the 2025 FISAF International Sport Aerobics, Fitness and Hip Hop Unite World Championships in Prague, held from 21 to 25 October 2025, with athletes delivering committed performances across both the Sport Aerobics & Fitness and Hip Hop divisions. The team competed against large international fields and returned with encouraging rankings, hard-earned experience and one podium finish.
The standout performance came from Tlhakiso Wilson Mafona, who claimed a silver medal in the Sport Aerobics Individual Men Masters 30+ category after securing second place in a tight three-athlete field. Mafona, coached by Wilson Mafona of Fun Fitness, was recognised by SASAFF for an outstanding achievement.
In the Sport Aerobics and Fitness categories, several South African athletes battled through competitive draws. Thato Modikwe placed fourth in the Men’s Adult division, while the Women’s Youth category saw Kay-Lynn Hardine finish 21st, followed by Tamica Hendricks in 22nd and Keira Benn in 24th. The junior field featured Amber Hsueh in 23rd and Talita van der Walt in 27th. In the cadet division, Cleo Philander placed 16th and Cailynn Fleming 18th. South Africa also fielded teams in the adult group divisions, where Veltrix Dalias finished 11th in the petite aerobic teams and Victrix Dalias placed 5th in the step teams.
In the Hip Hop competition, South Africa participated in both crew and duo categories. The Mighty Kings Zin Queens reached the final round of the adult mega crews and secured seventh place out of eleven teams. In the junior mega crew division, Urban Uproar ended 18th in a tough field of twenty international crews.
Small crew results included Femme in 12th place, Genesis in 17th, Unique in 19th (all in junior 12–18), and Double Dutch finishing 14th in the cadet category. The cadet team Untxld placed 17th in a seventeen-team field.
South Africa entered a large number of duos, producing a spread of mid-table rankings across senior, junior and cadet divisions. In the adult 16+ category, Volta placed 9th, X-2-0 ranked 13th and Uncaged finished 17th. Junior duos saw Kratos finish 20th, ACT 23rd, Double Force 24th and Dual Risk 28th out of thirty entries. In the cadet 7–13 bracket, The Dutch Kids finished in 10th, Harletwins in 15th, Double Trouble in 16th and Velocity in 17th.
Across both disciplines, athletes, coaches and team managers represented the country with commitment and professionalism throughout a demanding week of world-level competition. SASAFF acknowledged the full delegation for their hard work and expressed pride in the team’s participation and achievements in Prague.
