2010 FISAF FITNESS & HIP HOP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

HELD IN EINDHOVEN, THE NETHERLANDS FROM 20-23 OCTOBER 2010. 

 

59 Members from the South African Fitness Sport Aerobic Federation represented South Africa at the 2010 FISAF Fitness & Hip Hop Championships as members of the Protea Team as well as members of the SASAFF Invitation Team.

The South African Fitness Sport Aerobic Federation (SASAFF) is the custodian of Fitness Sport Aerobics in South Africa and is an affiliated member of SASCOC.  Athletes and coaches representing the Protea Team, achieved full Protea Colours.

For the 4th consecutive year, outstanding results were achieved in the Hip Hop Category for Senior (17+yrs) teams.  The top coaches, choreographers and competitors, Marzanne le Roux and Hozé Jonas achieved this outstanding achievement!

In the Senior Category, the team Vuelta with coach, choreographer and competitor Marzanne le Roux and fellow team members, Regan Domingo, Wesley Jantjies, Ziané le Roux, Jabin Joseph, Hadley Esau, Craig Dunswa, Joe Louw achieved the 2nd place and silver medals.  This team was also the winners in the 2010 Regional- and National Championships.  Marzanne also coached, choregraphed and competed at the FISAF World Championships in 2007 (3rd place), 2008 (1st place), 2009 (2nd place).

Also in the Senior Category, the team Brooklyn with coach, choreographer and competitor, Hozé Jonas and fellow team members, David Petersen, Eric Darries, Nadine Whiting, Vernon Moses, Roxane Williams, Anita Fouché and Nelmari Addison achieved the 3rd place and bronze medals.  Hozé also coached, choreographed and competed at the FISAF World Championships in 2008 (2nd place) and 2009 (1st place).

In the Junior age category (13 - 16yrs) the 2nd place and silver medals were won by the team PO-10-C (coached and choreographed by Hozé Jonas).  Team members: Kim Barnes, Elrene Roelfse, Lyle Jonas, Chirey Roelfse, Ikraam Abrahams, Graham Swartz, Carmen Greybe and Alston Louw.

The outstanding work that the Federation has done in the development of Sport has proven to be succesful with 17 of the 24 medalists being PDI's.
